Menekankan waktu (TIME)

强到时间：    

X: 你是几点来的？是什么时候来的？

Y: 我是下午三点来的

Kapan belajar Mandarin? 

X: 是什么时候开始学中文的？

Y: 是去年开始学汉语的

Perhatikan 是boleh dihilangkan tapi 的 di akhir kalimat tidak boleh hilang

要注意！！！！

我是昨天来 （Wrong!! You may not omit 的）

我昨天来的 （correct. bcs you can omit 是）

Menekankan tempat (PLACE)

强到地点：

X: 你是从哪里来的？

Y: 我(是)从马来西亚来到的 atau

     我是从北京大学毕业的

but...我是在家吃饭的 is not correct.

If you have object of the verb 宾语， then you have to put the object right after the verb.

我是在家吃的饭 

我们是在学校见的面

里外的：both  are correct

我是七点半到学校的

If the object is a place: 银行，学校，商店，公园， then 的 can be put after the verb

我是七点半到的学校

我是七点半来的学校

我是九点离开的家

Menekankan caranya (MANNER)

强到方式

X: 你是怎么来学校的?

Y: 我是坐出租车来学校的 atau

     我是开车来学校的

     我是坐公共汽车来学校的

     我是走路来学校的

Menekankan orang tertentu (WHOM)

强到原因

X: 你为什么来中国学习?

Y: 我是受朋友的影响来中国学习的

X: 你是跟谁一起来学校的?

Y: 我是跟妈妈一起来学校的

X: 这个礼物是送给谁的?

Y: 这个礼物是送给老师的

否定

他是没坐车来的学校 (WRONG, use 不是）

他不是坐车来的学校（Correct）
