Learn Chinese 001 (YCT syllabus) Introducing yourself
When someone wants to introduce herself/ himself,
the person will say, "Nǐ hǎo... Wǒ shì... (followed by the person's name)
For example: "Nǐ hǎo... Wǒ shì Lusi."
And you will have to introduce yourself too, what would you say?
You can say... "Nǐ hǎo... Wǒ shì... (followed by your name)
Now, let us see each of the word means....

Nǐ means you
hǎo means good
so Nǐ hǎo means are you good?
But Chinese have 4 tones ...
to be simple I can say:
Tone 1 high tone
Tone 2 asking tone
Tone 3 low tone
Tone 4 angry tone
Now your teacher will teach you say
Nǐ hǎo
ni hao and wo shi
Now please practice by introducing
